From Concept to Client Brief: Planning a Look

Clients often arrive with a mood board, a reference photo, or just a general idea, and your job is to turn that into an achievable plan.

Turning a Reference Into a Plan

  • Identify the core elements the client actually wants (a color palette, a level of drama, a specific technique) rather than trying to copy a photo exactly
  • Factor in the client's skin type, face shape, and eye shape using what you've learned in this module
  • Set realistic expectations if a reference look needs adjustment for the client's coloring or the event's lighting

A good consultation turns a vague reference photo into a specific, achievable plan before you ever pick up a brush.
