Feeding is one of the most routine parts of a visit, but it's also where small mistakes cause real harm.
✓Feeding Rules to Follow
- Feed the exact amount, brand, and schedule the client provided
- Never substitute a different food, even if it looks similar
- Wash food and water bowls as instructed, and always leave fresh water available
- Note if a pet refuses to eat or eats unusually little — this can be an early sign something's wrong
If you're ever unsure about a feeding instruction, ask the client rather than guessing.
