Pet First Aid Kit Essentials

A well-stocked first aid kit means you're not scrambling for supplies in an emergency.

✓What to Include

  • Gauze pads and rolls, adhesive tape, non-stick bandages
  • Digital pet-specific thermometer
  • Blunt-tip scissors and tweezers
  • Disposable gloves
  • Veterinarian-approved antiseptic wipes or solution, not human-strength alcohol or peroxide
  • Muzzle or soft cloth strip
  • Towel or blanket for warmth, restraint, or as a makeshift stretcher
  • Saline solution for flushing wounds or eyes
  • A card with emergency contacts: your regular vet, the nearest 24-hour emergency clinic, and an animal poison control hotline
  • A copy of the pet's medical history and vaccination record, useful if boarding, sitting, or traveling
